Ruth Elayne Kongaika Elayne has been working as a graphic artist for several years. This has allowed her to use her artistic energy to market performances for musical and theatrical productions. At the same time she studied under internationally known artists, and has recently received her B.F.A. Fine Arts – Two-dimensional emphasis. She resides on the North Shore of Oahu in Hawaii, and is inspired by the beauty that surrounds her – the people, the mountains, the ocean, and the rain forests. She shared, “When I create I feel energized, I lose all sense of time, and all my worries melt away.” Her wish is that her artwork will have the same affect on the observer. The artist is prolific in her sketching, watercolors, oil paintings, and digital creations as well as photography. She enjoys mixing media and techniques to give unique expression to her images. She was featured in an issue of graphic-design.com under “Designing Women”, and has sold her artwork in Hawaii and in her online store.
